Wow…i have a fantastic holiday in Jogjakarta. In 4 days i have traveled around Jogjakarta and meet new friends there. When i arrived, it was in the morning. So the sun shine brightly. And i directly go to the hotel by Taxi.

So many changing there since the last time i went there 4 years ago. There are so many mall now, even Carefure available now in Jogjakarta. I think all of you already know the most favorite place to shopping in Jogjakarta right? Ya you right. Malioboro is the most favorite place to shopping First night at Jogjakarta i spent there. But it wasn’t enough only in one night, believe me :). You will find so many unique t-shirt there with unique Jogjakarta style off course.

I was celebebrate my New Year Night also at Malioboro. Actualy it wasn’t my plan to celebrate New Year Party at Malioboro. My plan was just go there to shoping and then go to my sisters house to celebrate the New Year. I was went there at 7.00PM, at that time the Malioboro street wasn’t jamed. So i still shoping around the Malioboro street. And guest what, at 9.00PM me and my girlfriends want to go home and we event can’t crross the street. So many people was going down to the street to celebrate the New Year Party. Many motorbike were parked in the middle of street, even the Police should block the street because the street was full of people and motorbike.

So me and my girlfriends decided to celebrate our own party at Malioboro street because i can’t co back home. So many people blowing the horn and there was so crowded. At the midnight, the fireworks party began. So beautifull at that night.

Third day i was went to Borobudur. If you want to go there, don’t forget to find the Punta Dewa statue. People said that if you can reach the Punta Dewa Statue from the front, then just make a wish. They said the Punta Dewa will make you wish come true. Women should reach his leg, men should reach his hand and for the children should reach his shoulder. Believe it or not, it hard to reach his legs but we make it :).

Do you already have a palan for this holiday? I did :D. This holiday i’ll go to Jogja meet my sister there. This is my first year celebrating New Year out of town. I am quit busy these year. Doing some project and contest make me frustrated. So that’s why i need some vocation and choose Jogjakarta as my destination.

My last time go to Jogja was 5 years ago i think. So now my time to remember all street there. Hope there are not to much change that can make me get lost :). But don’t worry i will always stay connect with my laptop there and check my email periodically. Hope there are not much spam

I’m sure most of you already know what FedEx is. But did you realize that the FedEx logo contains an arrow in negative space between the E and X ? After you see the logo above, I’m sure you will. I guest that’s why FedEx become the progressive company in their field.

That was the creative thing i thought when you want to create a logo.  The process to creating a visualitations only from company visions and mission is the hardest part.

What’s make me shock during that discussion? She said that a designer has give her a price to creating a logo for her new company. He give her IDR 500.000 per logo. It really make us shock and i think Mr. Budiman Hakim will really sad to hear this. What logo that can they create using only IDR 500.000. Then i ask her, “Did he give you a logo guideline after the logo finish?”, she said ” I don’t Know. What is logo guideline? ”

Logo guideline is really important when you want to build a strong brand in your industry. It will guide you how to use your logo in many different media. So it will keep your logo consistent even it applied in many different media.

Doing some research when creating a logo is the hardest part. When we already have a concept, then the next steps is do some research about color, motif, company neighborhood, customer relationship, employee relationship etc. So if you do that think only about IDR 500.000, i think it is really imposible. Maybe you can do that if you creating a logo from clipart that you can fine in many book. Or you already have a logo collections? Than you just modify it using your CorelDraw or PhotoShop skill? What i want to say here is, the most expensive part creating a logo are the process to get the creative. When you already have a concept, then you should devide it into many small items then do some research. From that research, then you can visualize it in a logo.

Then what i suggest, redesign it if they want to make a Search Engine Friendly site without cutting the essential. I know this is a hard decisions to them. But they have to make a choice. If you want your website listing well by Google or Yahoo, you need to make a good layout and copy write. Use Flash only if you already have a Strong Brand.

When you creating a layout, you should know which one is the priority tag should you have. A valid XHTML is must. for example, when you want to creating a page title, you can use <H1>. And if you have a sub category you can use <H2> etc. Google and Yahoo engine read your website is also like a human. They read your site from Top Left to Bottom Right. So Google or Yahoo firstly will read you content which is located at Top Left of your website. And remember to use do follow link in each link you have. So the Google or Yahoo will easy spidering your site.

Then the most important think is your website content. Your website content is describe of your target keywords. Google and Yahoo can’t read your content if you create it using Flash. They can’t analyze what is your target keywords. Maybe you will ask me, we can add the keywords, description or title in Meta Tags right ? Yes we can, but will help you only 30% to optimize your site. Many people say “Content is KING”.

So what is a good website design? A good website design are:

1. Easy to navigate
2. Search Engine Friendly
3. The design is one line with the company brand

We survive until now because we do this jobs only for fun. Relationship is more then anything we can share. If we found some problems between us, we will discuss it while we drink a glass of Wine and Beer. That was a tips from our Grandpa. Also, if we meet a beautifull girl, we always ask her to join our party ( that is not a tips from our Grandpa ). After a couple of hours, then the problems solve. Simple right.

Just wanna say thanks to our Grandpa to give us this gift, and continuing the relationship. Hope someday, our son also keep this relationship and run the company.

Today i got stress by choosing which TLD should we used for our brand new project. MagicWave the biggest surf community newspaper in Indonesia that come to us and give us a business relationship proposal. They already have a domain name before. The address is www.magicwave.tv But the problems comes when the registrar of that domain name is somebody that lives in Holland and we can’t access the domain control panel.

Because of that problem, then we decide to register new domain. We try to find .com but it is not available anymore. Then we try .info and then BANGGGG…available then we bought it.

Two weeks after we launch the brand new website and submit the sitemap to Google Webmaster, we found zerro result in Google, Yahoo and MSN. Usually it need maximum 5 days. Wow this is make me really stressful. Is Google filtering out all .info domain? And i got the answer from seobook ,dodonet and see 2008 predictions from MattCutts . He said that.

A top-level domain (TLD registry) will offer domains for under $4. The result will be another TLD blighted by spammy domain registrations

It make me think twice now, because this site just lunch a couple week ago and need to make a decision quickly.

What should i do? Is .tv good for SEO? but the problem is the registrar of that domain is someone who lives overseas. Hope he can help us to move that domain to our client.

Finally i decide to use this domain for my own blog. I have own this domain for long time but never use it. I’m too busy to create a fresh template as usual :). Now, i decide to use this blog and then stop bloging on my old WordPressBlog. So please enjoy and relax
